A Modern 'Native' Approach to Guitar Learning

Stop Translating, Start Assimilating.

We've all been there. Trying to learn an advanced musical concept designed on piano that just doesn't translate onto guitar fretboard. The mistake is trying to make sense of the concept before trying to 'fit' it onto the guitar. What if we reversed the order? We play what fits and then understand it later. We've done the hard work for you. Just apply and 'Learn by Doing'. We can even choose to opt not to understand it later since we're already playing it. That is the goal of the Hefni Guitar Method; to help you develop the proficiency until you don't have to think about what to play but instead, to instinctively know what to play.

Why It Works

A 'Guitar-Centric' method built for real progress

1. Play First, Understand Later

The guitar fretboard is 'tiled' and not linear like a piano. Hence even the way we play chords and scales is different on the guitar. Therefore the exercises we learn should be guitar centric rather than translated from traditional notation.

The concepts have been designed to use guitar native concepts to maximize your learning. Also, the exercises purposefully ingrain music theory in their execution without having to consciously try to learn it.  We call this 'Learn by Doing'

In other words, as your fingers develop, the theory will automatically start make sense.
